Celebrate Diwali with the Bollywood Blockbusters releasing Oct 16

This Diwali is going to be one star-studded event. Ring in the festive season with the Bollywood blockbusters all ready to rock. With 3 big budget Bollywood movies slated for release this Friday, the 16th of October 2009; there sure is scope for a lot of fireworks. The movies ready for release and all set to fight it out at the box office are the big budget marine theme based "Blue", "Main Aur Mrs Khanna" and Ajay Devgan's laugh riot "All the Best".

Blue - the Bollywood blockbuster movie
A big budget Bollywood movie, Blue is based on an underwater theme. The film has Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty playing the lead role. The film has Lara Dutta playing the female lead and is reported to be the most expensive films of Bollywood. Shot in the Bahamas, Blue is an action thriller.

Main Aur Mrs Khanna is a romantic love story produced by Sohail Khan and has the actor Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor playing the lead.

All the Best- Bollywood laugh riot
All the Best is a laugh riot produced by Ajay Devgan and directed by Rohit Shetty. The music is by Pritam Chakraborty and All the Best is written by Robin Bhatt and Yunus Sajawal. The film stars Ajay Devgan, Bipasha Basu, Fardeen Khan, Mugdha Godse and has the yesteryears comedian Asrani and Johnny Lever too.

With so much happening this Friday, the best way to ring in the festive spirit is to catch your favorite in the theatres. I think it's probably going to be All the Best for me.

Star Wars at the Couture Week

Salman Khan is all set to launch his new clothes line at the Couture Week starting on the 11th of October and guess who is walking the ramp for Salman? None other than the hot and happening Aamir has agreed to do the honors. It is going to be star wars or to put it more mildly star power at its best at the Couture Week. While Aamir walks the ramp for Salman's line, Karan Johar too is going to launch his line at the show and has SRK take centrestage. With the power game on, rumors have it that the SRK-Karan Johar camp has roped in Aamir's nephew Imraan Khan and Ranbir Kapoor to do the honors for them. Karan's line would also have Gauri Khan walking the ramp for the very first time. There is going to be a lot happening at the Couture Week and the entire galaxy of Bollywood stars is waiting to descend. Salman has Saif Ali Khan, Govinda and whole lot of other celebrities from Bollywood showcasing his clothing line and the proceeds are going towards his charity "Being Human". News has it that the Big B, Amitabh Bachhan too would be there for Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. The countdown begins and we are going to have a lot of hot news coming our way from the Couture Week.

No takers for Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC)

KBC seems to have run into trouble. With Star TV not ready to take up the show and other channels like Sony and Colors refusing to touch such an expensive product, this seems to be a property looking for takers at the moment. Siddharth Basu has mentioned that there are negotiations planned with channels in the coming days, however, with the Big B and Shahrukh having turned down the offer to host the show, there may be some difficulty in finding a taker who is ready to get involved with a show that requires a heavy investment of money. Star Tv had approached the Big B for hosting the next season of the show while he was in Singapore with his politician friend Amar Singh, however, Colors managed to rope him in for their big budget reality show , The Big Boss. With a tough road ahead, Siddharth Basu definitely needs someone big to show interest in his mega project.

Amitabh Bachchan- launches the Dabur Honey Recipe Book

Dabur is the largest manufacturer of branded honey and the Big B of course needs no introduction. The two big brands came together for the launch of the Dabur Honey Recipe book. Amitabh Bachchan is the brand ambassador for Dabur honey.

The book contains 365 recipes using honey and is thus a treat that you can go on for an entire year. A collection of mouth watering recipes belonging to different cuisines has been developed by the chef Komal Taneja. She goes on to say “Honey contains fewer calories as compared to sugar and, thus, can be incorporated in your daily diet without any guilt. Also, honey is packed with minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants, which strengthen your immunity levels. I make sure this book would convince people to include some amount of honey in their daily food intake”.

The book is an attempt at introducing people to the benefits of honey and healthy cooking. There’s great news for the housewives and chefs for whom a new recipe is welcome anytime.
