The Bachchans celebrate 102nd birth anniversary of Harivanshrai Bachchan

The 28th of November saw the Bachchan family celebrate the 102nd birth anniversary of Harivanshrai Bachchan. The celebration at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Mumbai saw a number of celebrities attend the function. The entire Bachchan family including the Big B, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek and Aishwarya were present. The guests included good friend and politician Amar Singh, Tina Ambani and Kokila Ben, Om Puri with wife Nandita to name a few. Shweta Bachchan and Ajitabh Bachchan too were present at the function.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan wore similar looking off white saris and needless to say the two look beautiful and truly elegant. With the film Paa all set for release this Friday the 4th of December, 2009; the celebration is just about to begin for the Bachchans.

De Dana Dan - Gale Lag Ja song missing in the film

De Dana Dan, The Priyadarshan directed laugh riot is in the theatres. However, for those who decided to go to the theatres for the Gale Lag Ja, the steamy number starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, it was disappointing.The song in which Akshay and Katrina Kaif are shown soaking in the rains is not a part of the De Dana Dan movie yet. When asked director Priyadarshan says, the song is a bonus and he is keeping it away for some more time. It may be 3-4 days before the song hits the theatres. So much for marketing talent!!

The film is likely to do well as Akshay considers Katrina Kaif to be his lucky charm. With a list of flops like Chandni Chowk to china, Kambakkt Ishq and the latest underwater thriller Blue, Akshay sure is looking forward to De Dana Dan helping him make a turnaround.

Paa Premiere – SRK and Aamir to be present at the special screening with the Big B

With the promos of Paa, the songs all over the place, Paa the film has generated quite an interest. Amitabh Bachchan plays a unique role played by no other actor in the history of cinema. The Big B plays the role of son to his own son Abhishek Bachchan.

The Paa movie story aims at creating awareness about the rare medical condition called progeria which has only about 40 registered cases in the world and is a condition that causes premature aging and associated symptoms in children.
