Genelia D'souza is not new to the world of films. She has been doing a films down South however, she still comes forth as a fresh innocent young face.
Went for the film "Mere Baap Pehle Aap" last weekend. The film was a major disappointment and coming from the likes of Priyadarshan - not acceptable. Guess when you are good and successful the standards set are very high and you just cannot afford to falter at any step. The price that you have to pay for success, you are constantly being assessed at every step. Priyadarshan definitely needs to do an introspection.
Anyway coming back to Genelia. I liked her in the film and am really looking forward to her release "Jaane Tu Jaane Na" where she co-stars opposite Aamir's nephew Imraan Khan. The film is a film about youngsters and the promos too look all rosy and nice, takes me back a few years down memory lane.
This is going to be a repeat of what happened a few months back. Remember when two big budget films "Saawariya" and "Om Shanti Om" released on the same day. The speculation about which one of the two would have the cash registers ringing went on till the King Khan proved his ultimate superiority. July 4 is going to be another such day. Both "Jaane Tu Jaane Na" and "Lovestory 2050" are set for release on the same date with new comers Imraan Khan and Harman Baweja. Guess who would have the last laugh. For Genelia I am surely looking forward to seeing her film. However, can't miss the Priyanka starrer too.For more on the July 4 check out http://bollywood-blog.moviezen.com/2008/06/july-4-the-war.html
